When we finally received our order whoever was in the kitchen must have had a bad day or was in a terrible hurry. They tossed the food on the plates and the bottom of the plates were so greasy we all were instantly fingerprinted. I'm really laid back and I always give restaurants the benefit of the doubt but it honestly started to get out of hand.
Forget about the other Texas Roadhouses that are out there, this place is the best one in the upstate of SC. The food is ALWAYS delivered fast and hot, the staff is fantastic, and the atmosphere is pretty neat as well. The food tastes better here than it does at any other location in my opinion. The only downside to this location is that it's near a college and in a crowded downtown area, so sometimes it's hard to get in if you haven't reserved or gotten there early.
Once we did get the manager she gave a half hearted apology and seemed to not even care and proceeded to offer us a coupon for a free appetizer to make amends. This was even after we told them that we would not ever be returning.
Once we finished our meal everyone in my party of 5 was upset about the entire ordeal so we asked to see the manager to speak on our experience and pay for the full price of the meal we ordered. The hostess tried to brush us off and said "our manager is busy but I will talk to you myself". This threw up a red flag because it seemed to me that this wasn't the first time she has had to engage with the customer or the manager is simply too lazy to check on someone who isn't trying to get a free meal.
Aside from the food, the server, who tried very hard to keep up with a party of 18, they should have put 2 servers on our tables. Our guests came from out of town and although they didn't complain while at the restaurant, they were surprised at the level of service and the quality of the food. I don't believe i would ever take guests there again. I realize we had a large party, but other restaurants in our area are able to accommodate large parties with superior food and service. Very disappointed.
Absolutely the worse service ever. We were seated promptly but no waitress ever came to take our drink order. We had to physically get up and flag down the hostess ourselves. We waited for nearly an hour and the hostess offered us a free appetizer for our wait which we never received. Customers who arrived well after us placed their order and received their food and exited the restaurant while we waited for any signs of life.
I didn't even get anything for my birthday.
Our day after Thanksgiving was a disaster. Some of the food was cold, some was not very good and one item was out of a Kraft Box. I could not believe they would serve Macaroni and Cheese from a box.
Worst service. We had a party of 5 and had to wait OVER an hour to get a few burgers and a rack of ribs. Our server avoided us like the plague after he realized it was taking forever not once did he come out and tell us what's going on. After asking another server to please get a manager they never did so we took it upon our selfs to find one. Once the manager took control of the situation it seemed she went into the kitchen and put our meals together real quick and brought then out to us. After she brought them out to us our waiter came up and we just told him to bring us boxes because we weren't about to sit around any longer. it was about 9pm at this point we were seated around 740ish. She ended up taking care of the bill. Won't catch me back at this location.
Very Pricey tough what you get is great i had two pork chops and they were very juicy and plump. The atmosphere for my taste was disgusting. Peanut shells every where you cant walk with out cracking one under your shoe. And the booth wasn't very clean. I understand that the pigs like the whole idea of peanuts but you don't have to be flipping nasty with it. Clean up after your filthy customers people!
