So here goes .... I went to VA for a sew in . I specifically asked for someone who was well trained as I did have some nice hair . My regular hair stylist was unable to do hair and it was getting towards the weekend and everyone was booked . I was referred to try out college students so I did . Well the girl who done my hair name was Brittany . She was really sweet and actually done a good job , but needs to work on not letting tracks show in the front . She is a student of course so she's learning . Anyways, I contacted the school because after I left , I thought maybe I can play with it to make it work , however that was not happening, it was out of my area to fix . I called and spoke with the director Elisha . On the phone Elisha , promised me she would fix it for me , to please come back in etc. etc. well I live 45 min away and explained I would try and come in the next morning . Well , before I left to come to the school , I called and asked to speak with Elisha . Again , I spoke with her and she reiterates to me how she is going to make sure she fixes me up , and to ask for her . She even stated " I'm going yo do your hair and it's nothing to it ". Well let me just sum this up by saying " she did complete opposite ". When I arrived patiently and friendly , she came out, begin speaking really fast and walked off . The whole time I did not know this was Elisha ( director ) . She had another instructor come and try to put me with the same girl, stating she needs to learn from her mistakes . I'm all for that however , that's not what I was promised by the director and that's a waste of my time . At least Elisha could have watched or guided this girl . When I asked about where was Elisha , I was told she was on a conference call only yo then see her going out to lunch !!! Wow ! What a great way to teach your students how to treat paying customers . There was a guy that took care of me John . Who was also wonderful like Brittany . Elisha finally had no choice to later come out because John wanted to make sure he had properly fixed my hair . Elisha , told him what was wrong and he fixed it and it did not take much time . However , I had already wasted an hour and half before she even came out. All of that could have been prevented had Elisha kept her word and students would have learned while she fixed my hair like she originally said . I did not say much to Elisha , because I just wanted my hair fixed and let everyone enjoy their Friday . My point is there needs to be better leadership role for students and customers . I felt like my concern and my willingness to be patient were disregard and I was lied to. I will not be returning to VA for any services in the future due to this experience. Also , I did not request or was any money offered to me back . I forgot to mention I was there the first day for 4 hrs and the next day for 2 hrs. Elisha , do better !
The students are nice and friendly but they don't have enough supplies.
