Con: The produce selection is seriously lacking, in my opinion. I end up going to Whole Foods frequently to obtain fresh kale etc.
I live 30 miles north of Spartanburg but enjoy stopping into Hub City Co-op when I'm downtown. The selections aren't overwhelming but all seem to be healthy and in some cases locally sourced. I've never had lunch but what I saw today made my mouth water!
I like having the co-op in our downtown area, major convenience. I really like their selection of local wellness products & natural supplements. I wish the produce area could be better stocked but they've usually got what I'm looking for. Bulk area is definitely the way to go, so much cheaper than buying something pre-packaged!
Pro: The hot bar is great
The staff is courteous and helpful. There's a decent amount of parking and the location can't be beat.
Food is organic and all natural. I'm allergic to many food ingredients and I'm still able to find a wide variety of goods to eat here.
This really is a great little place to shop local. I love love love the bulk spices. Why but a jar when all your recipe needs is a tablespoon? Not to mention the hot food bar and produce always look phenomenal.
