Many items from past days of railroads.
Good to see the train items preserved. Nicely done. My kids love trains. It's great to see all the items that were in and around train stations back in the day.
The volunteers love what they do it and it shows.
An excellent little museum chock full of local railroadiana. Spartanburg was the "hub city" and an important junction for many decades.
A restored Southern RR Caboose with operating HO layout and computer showing location of trains in real time, a large deck for viewing trains.
This was a fun experience to take my toddlers to. They loved the caboose. They absolutely enjoyed seeing a train come into the station. It's such a quaint little museum tucked away in downtown Spartanburg.
To bad the last guy to post missed the point of the museum. It's sad when kids like him get pulled aways from their social media. It's like a new addiction and they get cranky.
Wonderful little Museum that is run by local people who love the city. It is free and definitely worth taking time to visit. There is a nice grass area with tables for picnic lunches. When we were there we saw three trains go by. It's a fun little place.
Admission is free but I enthusiastically drop a couple of greenbacks in the donation box.
