No Overnight parking
The hours are good if you're on first shift but there's no room for growth and they don't want to spread the companies success with the employees who are the driving force behind there success. If you're on first shift you basically have to depend on second shift if you get a bonus and sometimes you won't receive a bonus. During holiday times they feed you exceptionally well and give you a 45 minute break during those times and the food is always great when they order it. You'll also quickly notice that there's no people of color whether it be Black, Latino or Asian in "ANY" office positions nor management positions with this company..............."NO DIVERSITY" in there good old boy system. The long time employees that work there act as if they don't have to do any work and if they're told to do any work, they pitch a fit and cry like babies. They barely want to help new employees get started on learning the job because they want to sit in the office as if they're so busy or somebodies boss. The pay could be way better considering how much volume gets shipped out from there nightly but they don't want to pay because they're to busy making sure the higher ups as well as themselves are getting their pockets filled. It's a semi-fast paced atmosphere but also very boring and you're constantly being watched on camera from the front to the upstairs warehouse office............CONSTANTLY!!!!!!A ton of favoritism to the employees that have been there a while and it's only 4 of them that have been there for a while. The turnover rate is very, very high there due to the lack of leadership there, the good old boy system, favoritism, pay, arrogance and just plain old fakeness of the long time employees. Phillips is a good stepping stone until you find somewhere else with much better pay, much better employees and leadership. If you do decide to work there, please be aware of the 4 employees that have been there for a while...............you'll know who they are in your first 2 days there. GOOD LUCK if you choose to go that route!!!!!!None of this is made up and when the company reads this..............they can't get mad at truth, they can only be upset with allowing these things to continue within the company!!!!!
I have been using Phillips as a distributor for some time. They average about a 75% fail rate on complete orders. The ONLY reason we continue is because they are the only distributor in North Carolina of one of our top products. There are consistent back orders which they blame on the manufacturer. The manufacturer and owner of of Phillips are related. I have complained multiple times with no change to manufacturer and distributor. Back orders happen but they don't tell you when an item is back ordered until the truck arrives. In order to get the missing item, your order needs to meet their minimum for delivery AND they will charge you another delivery fee.
Glad that i didnt get a job offer from this place!!! Probably bc I laughed a little when the guy that interviewed me said they work 15 to 16 hours a night on 2nd shift for only $12 an hour. The HR does not care about her job. When i sat down to talk to her for like 2 mins. She was on her cell phone texting her boyfriend. The 3 to 4 times i talked to her before the interview all she could say is im so tired and busy. There wasnt to many cars in the parking lot either. I dont blame anyone for not wanting to work here.
