I have been visiting this place for about 8 years and I love the peace and solitude it offers. They have recently paved new paths through the woods. Something is almost always in bloom and at times the experience can be quite intoxicating to the senses. From the lemony fresh Magnolias blossoms, Gardenias and various blooming shrubs, you are in for a treat. My favorite times to visit is middle to late Spring, late Summer and Fall.
Good for a pretty stroll through the woods. Paved walkways. I've seen weddings here as well as other events.
Hatcher Gardens is a beautiful place. I love to do photos there because no matter the area you will have a breath taking background. Its great if you just want to walk for exercise while enjoying all the beautiful flowers and trees. Its a great place for a picnic or family gathering. You can take amazing wedding pictures here. The staff is wonderful to work with and very helpful.
Just a lovely place to visit - the gem of the westside of Spartanburg. Visit regardless of season - there is always something to look at. There are paths but no fences, which allows you to venture into the wooded area to look closer at a bit of vegetation. If you are on the westside, I highly recommend a pit stop here!
So beautiful! Awesome place to bring the kids and the dog (so long as he's well-behaved) We love the beautiful waterfalls, the picnic and bench areas and the cute caterpillar scuplture. They do a great job and work hard to make it beautiful, so remember to drop a couple of dollars in their donation box to help them keep it up :)
