Makes me angry that I even have to give 1 star. Bought a Die Hard Platinum series battery for my horse trailer from Sears about 2 years ago. The battery was around $300. It has a 3 year warranty on it. Make a long story short, the battery will no longer hold a charge. I have taken it to 2 different auto parts stores to have it tested. Both stores said the battery is no good. Even the Die Hard trickle charger I bought with the battery says the battery is dead and cannot be charged. Oddly enough the battery tester that Sears has, says the battery is taking a charge and is good. The manager at the Spartanburg location refuses to replace the battery unless their machine reads that the battery is no good. I called Sears customer service, which was an absolute joke. After being transferred at least 3 times I was told to visit the store if I had a problem (where I was at). Manager laughed it off, and says he will have the district manager call me. Shockingly I never received that phone call, and I'm left with a 50 lb. paperweight. It is no wonder Sears will be out of business by the end of the year and companies with good customer service like Amazon and Costco are thriving.
Great staff. It took 2 hours for an alignment, however. my truck doesn’t have rusted up bolts and there was only 1 car there aside from mine. I don’t see why that amount of time was necessary.
Kepthearing someone put meon hold more than once just to ask one simple question. Customer service skills are highly unprofessional. BTW no one ever picked up and said hello or anything.
8am ring, 10 am ring, 12pm ring, 3pm ring, 5pm ring think you get the picture. Phone rings while they are doing nothing and wait time has gone up over the years. Was a customer for 10 years but this place went down the drain. Will find some where else to get my work done.
My personal experience with this store is not in-person, so I can't speak to cleanliness or any such thing. What I can speak to is the incredible helpfulness of Donnie, who helped my college freshman & new Spartanburg resident daughter get her car started when the battery had died. Not only did he go with her over to the other side of the mall to jump start the car, he helped troubleshoot the problem and got her the right information to pass back to me. I really appreciate his help, and kind, respectful treatment of her. If the whole shop is full of helpful, knowledgeable folks with great attitudes like this, I can't see a reason not to give them at least a try.
