Shopping here has been one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. The staff is slow and lackluster. They act like they can't see you even when they are staring right at you. The lines are unnecessarily long and there are two clerks. I sell bridal gowns for a living and we check people out faster than they do here!!! If I can check a customer out for her once in a lifetime event in a few minutes I don't understand why the staff here can't scan a few barcodes and bag a few toys in the same amount of time. The lack of urgency and customer awareness are beyond abysmal. Save yourself the trouble and order online! You'll probably get better customer service from your computer! Get it together toys r us! I won't be back.
If I could give 1/2 a star, I would. I rarely see an associate except at the register and they all act like they want to be anywhere but there. Ordered online to pick up in store ONLY because it said "pickup available one hour after order is placed". I received the email order confirmation but not "order is ready". My daughter is in Spartanburg so she goes by to see if they can tell her in-store when it will be ready- since it's been 5 hours since we placed it. The associate there is RUDE and acts like they don't want to be bothered. I understand that it is the day before Christmas Eve but my goodness, heard of customer service much??? They customer service representative at 1-800-toysrus did try to be helpful. Said my order wasn't going to ship to store for 5-10 days!!!! She did attempt to call the store to see if they had one in stock but NO ONE answered. She suggested I go in person and "raise a fuss"!!! So I'm braving the crowds and traffic to go because the Spartanburg store can't be bothered with answering the phone (I've only tried to call 6 times!!)!!!!!
Registered here with for all my babies. The registration staff was friendly and helpful as was the cashiers. Toy selection is pretty good. I had one experience leave a bad taste in my mouth: I witnessed a manager/supervisor berate an employee whilst they were on the sales floor. Completely inappropriate.
The store was a bit of a mess but seeing it was the day after Christmas I understand. We stopped in to return a toy and get something different which we did without any issue. The customer service was great helping with the return.
Deana at the Spartanburg SC store was great so nice and pleasant personality if there were more works like her I would not mind shopping more.
